ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਦੇ ਬਹਾਨੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੌਨ ਸ਼ੋਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਤਜਿੰਦਰ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ (47) ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਫਰਜ਼ੀ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਜਾਂ ਰਿਕਰੂਟਰ ਦੱਸ ਕੇ Kijiji ਵਰਗੇ ਕਲਾਸੀਫ਼ਾਈਡ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਸ਼ਤਿਹਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ।
ਜਦੋਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੰਨਸਾਨ ਥਾਵਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਸ਼ਾਰੀਰਕ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕਰਦਾ। ਮਾਮਲਾ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਦੋ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚੀਆਂ। ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
